Belthangady : Two notorious thieves wanted in connection with over 40 thefts in various places of the state were  arrested by the Chikmagalur police.

The arrested  duo are Isaac of Badyar and Hameed of Maddadka.Isaac is an autorickshaw driver in Guruvayanakere, while Hameed was once earlier arrested in a theft case.

It is learnt, the two used to even steal CC Cameras  as well as hard discs in all places where they committed thefts. They were wanted in the case of theft in the KB Malla Petrol Bunk at Belthangady from where they had stolen cash, oil cans as well as CCTV camera in order to avoid getting caught.

The duo were also clever enough by using several sims and mobile phones. Police have seized  as many as 13 sims from them.

 The two were brought to Belthangady on July 8, Monday for further interrogation. Investigations are in progress.
