Basadi thief in police custody again

Moodbidri : Santosh Das alias Ghashyam Das of Odisha, the accused in  the Siddantha Darshana Mandir Burglary case in Moodbidri, has once again been entrusted to the custody of the Moodbidri police on March 28, Friday.

Santosh Das who was arrested  in connection with the July 6 theft case wherein antique idols worth several  thousands of crores of rupees were burgled, had during interrogations even revealed that he was responsible for thefts in some other temples in the district. He had later on even secured bail in some cases.

Now, the Moodbidri police have once again taken him to one day custody for higher probe into the thefts in Ashwathapura Temple near Moodbidri and some other places.
