Bantwal: In a shocking development, yet another woman has been tested positive in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.

A 75-year-old woman, who is a close relative of the 50-year-old lady who died recently due to COVID-19, was tested positive on Thursday morning.

This is the third positive case from Bantwal over the last one week.

On April 19, a 50-year-old lady had died owing to respiratory issues. However, she died before her COVID test reports were out. The tests had confirmed that she was positive for COVID-19 and thus she became the first COVID-19 victim of the district.

Couple of days ago, one of her neighbours too was tested positive.

Now, her relative, who was hospitalised after suffering a stroke has been tested positive.
