Mangaluru: Continuing the string of questioning against underworld don Bannanje Raja, the police on Wednesday January 6, produced him before the Magistrate in connection with the assault case on a person named Richard D’Souza in 2000.

It is learnt that Raja has been remanded to judicial custody till January 8. As many as six cases stand registered against him in Mangaluru.

Raja was brought to Mangaluru on December 30, 2015, from the Belagavi Central Prison following his arrest in Morocco in March last year.
