Karkala : SCDCC Bank Chairman and Jain leader MN Rajendra Kumar flagged off the transportation of the Bahubali statue  sculpted at Jodukatte near here  and which will be installed at  Madhuban Shikharji in Jarkhand.

Sri Lalitha Keerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji of Karkala Jain Mutt, Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji of Moodbidri Jain Mutt and others were present when the statue was taken in a procession. Initially it  was taken  towards Moodbidri from Jodukatte.

Sunil Kumar Bajagoli, Jain leader, Nallur Mahaveera Jain, Vajranabha Chowta, Anadka Dinesh, Trustee of Moodbidri Basadis, Parshwanatha Jain and others were present.

The statue was sculpted by Marimuttu and Rajendra, noted sculptors.  The idol which has reached Moodbidri from Jodukatte  will be kept there for a few months for public view before proceeding to Jarkhand.
