Mangalore: A complaint has been registered against Baba Ramdev here at Konaje police station for his recent comment stating the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi visits Dalit houses for ‘honeymoon and picnic’.

The complainant has been identified as Lolaksha who is a resident of Konaje. Irked over alleged derogatory remarks by Yoga guru Ramdev in his complaint Lolaksha asserted that Baba Ramdev has affronted the Dalit community.

The complaint said that Ramdev seems to have taken the community for granted and has deeply hurt the sentiments of Dalit women.

Lolaksha said that he belongs to the backward community and Ramdev’s words had hurt him, and thus he filed a complaint in order to show his solidarity with the Dalit community across the nation.

Urging the police to register the FIR and take prompt action against Baba Ramdev, he said the “statement was vulgar, illegal, unconstitutional and uncivilised and has hurt the feeling of the Dalits.
