
Mangaluru: HDFC Bank inaugurated a new branch at the HH Diamond City Building in Marnamikatte (Valencia) on Monday, October 21.
Founder and Chairman of NMC Health Care, Abu Dhabi and Padma Shri awardee Dr B R Shety inaugurated the new branch and asked the officials to give the customers priority. “HDFC Bank is the largest bank among all banks in our country. I have known of the HDFC Bank since the start of my career. It is one of the best banks and widely respected. Give the benefit to the people and their account holders. Identify those people who really want to start a business and support them,” he said.
Unity Hospital Chairman Habeeb Rahman said, “Dakshina Kannada district was earlier known for banking and Mangaluru tiles. Now it is known for education and healthcare. However, the banks that provide the best service still survive.” He then wished the bank success in its future endeavours.
Cluster Head Chidananda Shetty informed that HDFC Bank has given more prominence to digital banking and that the bank has invested a huge amount of money on the same. “Due to this, loans can be sanctioned in just 10 seconds. People don’t need to visit the banks to open accounts, transfer funds or for any other transaction. Digitally, our bank is well-equipped and we will not disappoint our customers,” he said.
Another cluster head Ashok Rao and officials of the bank were also present on the occasion.
Also, earlier in the day, B R Shetty inaugurated HDFC’s new branch located at Yeyyadi, Mangaluru. Ex-Minister and Chairman of Vikaas College Krishna J Palemar, KCCI Past President Jeevan Saldanha were present.
