
Mangaluru: An awareness session on the Farm Laws of the government was organised by The Lay Faithful Commission and Commission for Social development of the diocese of Mangalore on February 4 at Community Hall, Bendur. The chief speaker for the session, Ms Bhavya Narasimhamurthy, a Social activist from Bengaluru, enlightened the participants about the pros and cons of the recent Farm laws of the government.
She explained to the audience about how the farmers feel like their existence in our country is facing a threat with the arrival of the farm laws. She compared the laws and explained the whole logic behind them.

After the talk there was an interaction session moderated by Mr Roy Castelino, PRO of the diocese of Mangalore.
Fr J B Crasta, the Secretary of laity Commission, Fr Oswald Monthiero the Director, CODP were present on the dais.
Fr J B Crasta, introduced the guest speaker and welcomed all the participants of the awareness session.
Many priests, religious men and women, students, seminarians, professors, and many interested persons took active part in the session.
Fr Vinod OFM Cap, compered the event. Students from Padua College Mangaluru led the prayer.
