Kasaragod: An auto driver has been arrested on charges of harassing a school girl here on Tuesday, August 16 by the Vidyanagar police.

Suresh (47) from Madhur Patla is the arrested.

The incident occurred on Monday when the girl was returning home after Independence Day celebrations. The auto driver allegedly took the girl in his auto and molested her on the way. The girl on returning home informed her parents, who in turn informed the teachers. The school authorities informed Childline and the girl was counseled.

A complaint was registered with Vidyanagar police who successfully nabbed the accused. The girl has been subjected to medical test at Kasaragod General Hospital.
