Ullal: A day after a youth was stabbed in the abdomen, the locals laid siege to the Ullal police station on Thursday morning demanding exemplary action against the miscreants. The protestors condemned the incident.

On Wednesday night, Abhishek Poojary (21) and his friend Shivraj was stabbed by miscreants at Basthi Padpu, Ullal, the reports said.

Abhishek reportedly suffered serious injuries in the abdomen, which affected his kidney. He was brought to a hospital in Mangalore.

The incident took place when Abhishek was returning after working out in the gymnasium with his friend Shivraj by bike. The miscreants, who came in bike blocked Abhishek before stabbing him, its said. Pradeep, who was sitting pillion too was injured during the attack.

A case has been registered in the police station.
