Mangaluru: The members of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) along with the staff of Milagres College staged a protest in the college premises on Monday demanding the arrest of the student who assaulted the principal of the Milagres College.

PTA president Deepak D’Souza Attavar said that the accused student is on the run evading arrest since three days and the police have done nothing. “This incident has shocked the whole teaching fraternity. There are few people protecting the student. We urge that the police nab the guilty soon,” he said.

PTA member Raymond D’Cunha said, the protest was to show solidarity with the principal and to support him.
