Mangaluru: A youth died on the spot and another sustained injuries in an accident at Madani Nagar, Ullal here on Monday December 8.

The deceased has been identified as Sharvan (28) from Tamil Nadu.

According to the reports, Sharvan was riding pillion with a friend on a Pulsar bike. When his friend tried to overtake another vehicle, reportedly from the wrong side, their bike hit the tipper and Sharvan came under its wheels. The rider sustained injuries on the hand.

Sharvan was a student of 2nd year MBBS student at Yenepoya Medical College.

Traffic was affected for about half-an-hour following the accident. Ullal police have registered a case.
