Mangalore : The first meeting of the nine member committee formed to investigate into the complaint by Pandeshwar ASI Srikala accusing ACP TR Jagannath of sexually harassing her, had to be postponed after both the complainant and the  accused abstained from the meeting.

The meet  held  on June 5, Wednesday at the office of the Mangalore Police Commissioner was however attended by all the nine members. The Committee was earlier constituted as per the Apex Court directive in order to facilitate probe into case of harassment at workplace.

It may be recalled here that ASI  Srikala had charged Jagannath of mental and sexual harassment  and had even accused him of denying her leave.

Meanwhile, ACP  TR Jagannath  continues as the ACP of Mangalore South  despite his transfer to Bangalore, as his transfer will not hold good until the probe by the committee is complete.
