Mangaluru: The team behind the most awaited addition to the Sandalwood family, “Asathoma Sadgamaya”, announced on April 17 that the movie would be hitting the theatres soon.
Producer Ashwin J Pereira, addressing the media said, “‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ has a strong message for the viewers. It is based on the concept of ‘IQ v EQ’ and how the two should be balanced.” He spoke about the release of the trailer which was done in Dubai, emphasising that this was the first time something like this was done for a Kannada movie. He also said that the songs of the movie had received positive response from the people.
The director of the movie, Rajesh Venur also spoke at the press meet. He said that the concept of the film was based on the mentality of the present generation. “Relationships and the emotional quotient were given more importance in the earlier days. These days, the newer generation is smarter and its parents are also focusing on better marks than special bonds or valuable relationships.We have tried to revive the importance of emotions and attachments through this movie.” Speaking about the movie, Venur said that it was a family entertainer with a “dash of comedy.” He also said that the shoot for the movie was completed within 45 days in places like Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mandya and Moodbidri.
Radhika Chethan, the lead actress of the film said, “I am excited to act in ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ after having worked in the blockbuster Kannada movie ‘Rangitharanga.’ ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ has a strong message and my character is an important one.”
Lasya Nagaraj, an actress in the film said, “‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ will be my debut in the Kannada movie industry. In the movie, I play a bubbly character who is always in a fantasy world. This movie has a message that can change the people’s lives by balancing IQ and EQ. The movie has helped me change myself and I hope that the people will support us.”
Chitrali who is also making a debut in the Kannada movie industry as child artiste with “Asathoma Sadgamaya” said, “I am very excited for my first movie in Kannada. I won’t reveal the plot of the movie but I request everyone to got to the theatres and watch the movie.”
The movie which will hit theatres soon is produced by Ashwin J Pereira, directed by Rajesh Venur and is produced under the banner of iCARE Movies. It has Radhika Chethan and Kiran Raj in the lead. Lasya Nagaraj, Baby Chitrali and Deepak Shetty play the supporting characters in the movie.
