Moodbidri: All arrangements are complete for the Army Recruitment Rally which began at Vidyagiri here on August 5. The rally will be held upto August 12. Registrations and height tests of candidates have commenced on August 4, Monday. The Rally is being organised by the Army Recruitment Zone of Mangalore in association with Alva’s Education Foundation.





The candidates from various districts will be subject to different tests during the next seven days of the Rally. On Monday August 4 around 4000 candidates arrived from various places. Tokens for the Physical Eligibility test for the clerk and storekeeper posts in the Army were issued to nearly 2500 candidates after registration and height test. The qualification for the same is PUC.
Arrangements have been made at Vidyagiri for the food and accommodation of the candidates. Parking arrangements for vehicles have been made near the entrance.
A KSRP battalion and 25 additional police personnel have been pressed for security purposes. Over 25 staff of Alva’s are also serving as volunteers.
Vishwanath, Officer of Recruitment Division and Subedar Major Charanjith Singh are the in-charge of the recruitment process.
Dr M Mohan Alva. Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, Vivek Alva, Trustee, Mohammad Isaq, Tahsildar and others were also present during the registration process on Monday.
