Anti-Superstition Bill : Hindu religious leaders plan state wide stir

Mangalore : A meeting of Hindu Temple heads, leaders of various Hindu organizations and advocates convened at the SDM Law College in Mangalore on November 24, Sunday has come down heavily on the Anti-Superstition bill which the state government proposes to implement.

The meeting attended by office bearers of 30 different organizations said the Bill would  come in the way of several Hindu religious practices and observed that it was nothing but a systematic conspiracy to ban  Hindu religious traditions.

It was decided at the meeting to launch a statewide movement  against the proposed Bill, with the co-operation of Hindu religious heads, organizations and advocates.

It was further resolved to hold a  Hindu convention  at Bangalore  on December 1 to kick start a movement opposing the proposed Bill.

The meeting held in Mangalore was attended among others by Ramesh Shinde, National Spokesperson of Hindu Jana Jagrithi Samithi, Kumar Malemar, State Secretary of Sri Rama Sene, Dr Jnanesh Naika, Pramukh of Bharatha Swabhimana Trust, Uday Kumar Rai, Advocate, Ramesh  Pelattur, Mohan Gowda, State Spokesperson of Hindu Jana Jagrithi Samithi and Sangeetha Prabhu of Sanathana Samsthe.
