Late Anna Mascarenhas had a degree in Food Technology from Mumbai’s Nirmala Niketan and she started the recipe column in the ‘Daijiworld Website’ when it was launched in Dubai in 2001. She has exhibited her best expert culinary knowledge in the recipe book “Anna’s Kitchen”. Giselle Mehta lauded the immense work being carried out at the ‘Sarva Dharma Sangama’ and said it was her pleasure to share her few recipes on Vegan culture in the book.

Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld Media, who was the main speaker, said, “In 2001, Anna Mascarenhas began her journey as a recipe writer by launching her recipe column on the Daijiworld Website in Dubai. She not only published her own recipes but also sourced recipes from around the world through her network. However, her compassionate nature shone through as she later joined Daijiworld Weekly as its administrator, demonstrating her dignity and care for others. Despite battling cancer, she continued to attend to the needs of others.

Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, parish priest of St Lawrence Church, Bondel, and Fr Faustine Lobo, parish priest of Kinnigoli Church were the guests of honour. They commended the work being carried out at ‘Sarva Dharma Sangama.”

Ina Mascarenhas, daughter of Anna Mascarenhas and Trustee welcomed the gathering, Hemcharya, Managing Trustee, proposed a vote of thanks. Well-known compere Hera Pinto compered the event.
