Mangaluru: Ilham, daughter of Mahammad Raffic Davood Saheb, Moizatul Kubra and Anisha Mallya, daughter of Pandurang Mallya and Shantha Mallya are among the toppers in the Karnataka Board PUC II examination 2022.
As PUC II year results have been declared students from Dakshina Kannada District have topped the State this time too. In the Commerce and Science stream, five from Dakshina Kannada District have topped the list and brought laurels to the District.
Ilham secured 597 marks while Anisha scored 595 in the examination.
Pandurang Mallya, Anisha’s father, told NewsKarnataka that he is happy and that it is also a surprise for them. Anisha said, “I did not expect this. I have achieved it with the help of the teachers and they have been really supportive, especially my class teacher Soumya Ganesh. I have put in a lot of hardwork and gave my 100 per cent.”
“I am happy that I will continue to study in the same college in the future,” she added.
Ilham who aims to study Psychology at Yenapoya Medical College said, “Psychology is my favourite subject and that is why I took up Science. I will now do B.Sc in the same subject and later pursue MS in the same subject,” she added.
Anisha Mallya and Ilham Raffic’s parents had visited the St. Aloysius College and fed sweets to children and shared their excitement.
Samarth Joshi of Alva’s Pre-University College, Moodabidri, and Praveen Ullal of Canara PU College has scored 595 out of 600 marks in the Commerce stream. In the Science stream, Srikrishna Pejathaya of Alva’s PU College has secure 597 marks.
