Mangalore: The Karnataka Dalitha Sangharsh Samithi staged a protest rally in front of Town Hall on Wednesday, April 30th, demanding the arrest of Yoga Expert Baba Ramdev for his controversial remarks on Dalits.





The protesters led by DSS District Convener Raghu K Ekkar, burnt the effigy of Ramdev and performed his ‘last rites’, following which Dalit women garlanded his photograph with sandals condemning him for insulting Dalits and women in his statement made in reference to Rahul Gandhi.
The protesters urged the government to arrest him and punish him under the provisions of law. They submitted a memorandum to the DC to be forwarded to he Governor, in which they said that “by using the words ‘honeymoon’ and ‘picnic’, Baba Ramdev has insulted the Dalit community, especially the Dalit women.
