Amit Shah to visit Mangaluru for BJP’s Tiranga Yatra on August 21

Mangaluru: BJP Dakshina Kannada district president Sanjeeva Matandoor said on Saturday that BJP national president Amit Shah will visit Mangaluru on August 21 and participate in the party’s nation-wide ‘Tiranga Yatra’ campaign and other programmes.

Speaking to media at the BJP office Matandoor said,”Amit Shah will be in the city on August 21. He will flag off a bike rally at Pumpwell organized by the BJP Yuva Morcha north and south units. He will then garland the statue of Rani Abbakka at Ullal”.

“Amit Shah will then address a programme at Konaje. BJP president B S Yeddyurappa and Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda will participate in the programme,” he added.

Matandoor further informed that Raita Morcha will plant saplings on the same day. As per PM Narendra Modi’s advice, Tiranga Yatra is being observed to evoke nationalism and patriotism among the citizens, he said.

“The Tricolor will be hosted at the BJP district quarters at 3pm on August 15. Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy will be in the city to attend a programme on Independence Day at T V Ramana Pai hall. There will be torchlight march by BJP Yuva Morcha in all assembly constituencies. The Yuva Morcha will hold bike rallies from August 16-23 in all the assembly constituencies,” he said.
