Mangaluru: The 124th birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was observed at Yenepoya University on Tuesday, 14th April, 2015.

A guest lecture was arranged on the topic “Inclusive Policy and Democracy in India” by a renowned person Prof. Vishwanatha who is the founder of the Centre for Ambedkar Studies at Mangalore University.

He is the Director of the Centre for study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy & Professor of Economics at Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, Konaje.

Prof. Vishwanatha briefed on childhood days of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and his contributions to the field of Economics.

He also emphasized on how he advocated to the lower group of people of the society. He also contributed to human rights and women’s liberation.
