Mangaluru: With JD(S) shortlisted candidate K Amarnath Shetty remain?ing firm on his ?decision to not contest the upcoming elections? from the Moodbidri constituency?, the party ?has replaced him with K Jeevan Shetty, a civil engineer from Mulky?. 

?Speaking to NewsKarnataka, Amarnath Shetty said that his refusal to contest the elections, despite being chosen as candidate by the JD(S) party leaders was due to health reasons. Jeevan Shetty from Mulki will be contesting from Moodbidri, he added.

An active party worker of JD(S), Jeevan Shetty will file his nomination on April 23.

Amarnath Shetty’s name had been announced as the candidate for Moodbidri constituency in the list released by the JD(S) on Friday, April 20.
