Alva’s Trust offers free education to children of couple who died in Sulwadi tragedy

Mangaluru: The Suliwadi temple tragedy claimed lives of Krishna Nayak and his wife Myli Bai. With the death of the two, their three children who are still pursuing their studies have been left in lurch.

At this time of crisis, Alva’s Education Trust has come as a saviour to the children as the trust has decided to sponsor the education of three children.

Trust president Dr Mohan Alva has said that the eldest daughter of the couple, Rani is pursuing B.Sc, second daughter Priyanka Bai is doing B. Sc nursing and son Rakesh is in PUC. “If the children are willing to relocate to Moodabidri then the Trust will provide them free education, ” Dr Alva has said.

It may be recalled that 14 persons died after consuming prasadam at Sulvadi Mariamma temple on December 14.
