Alva’s students celebrate Independence day in a unique way

Moodbidri :The 20,000 students of Alvas education foundation gave a strong message’ We will change before India changes’ on the occasion of India’s 68th independence day.

Manipal University retired vice chancellor Padmabhushan B M Hegde, hoisted the flag here at K V Subbanna open ground at Vidyagiri campus.

Addressing the students on the occasion he said, “I can see future leaders in front of me. I can see a mini India here. We must bring back the great India we had seen decades ago. We should bring change in our country. When a nation changes, it affects the world too. To bring change in India, we the citizens should  change”.

Alvas educational foundation president Dr M Alva speaking to the reporters said, I am happy to see 20,000 students celebrating independence day. I am also happy to know that 1,000 candidates have been selected in a rally held for the recruitment of army personnel.

Praveen Godkindi, Flute, Mijaru Guttu Anand Alwa, Trustees Ex-MLA Amarnath shetty, Jayashree Amarnath shetty, Vivek Alva, Vinay Alva, Meenakshi Alwa, Jayakara Alva, Sitaram Alva were present on the occasion.

LKG kids along with flags  were the special attraction  at the rally.

Later on cultural programme was also organised.
