Alvas kickstarts Swach Mijaru campaign

Moodbidri: Mijaru Alvas engineering college, Mechanical division launched Swach Mijaru campaign at Todaru junction here on Monday.

Youth minister K Abhayachandra Jain kickstarted the campaign and said that everyone should participate in this campaign, only then the swach Bharath campaign will be successful.

Dakshina Kannada district executive officer Tulasi Maddineni on the occasion said that we should focus on cleanliness to attract more and more visitors to the tourist spots in India.

Alvas college director, Dr M Mohan Alva, MITTE college president Rajesh Chowta, Ex-MLA Amarnath Shetty, Vidhan Parishad member Ganesh Karnik, NCC officer Captain Shivram, Tenkamijaru PDO Sayish Chowta, President Umavathi, vice president Muttu and Alvas engineering college principal Peter Fernandes were present.

The campaign was held at Tenkamijaru Gram panchayat premises where Dr M V Shetty college students, Alvas engineering college students, MIT college students, Mijaru locals, self help groups, women groups and Mijaru gram panchayat members participated in the campaign. More than 3 thousand people actively participated in the activities.

Nine groups in nine places coming under Mijaru, Todaru limits also led the campaign.
