Moodbidri: Alva’s College of Education, Moodbidri has done remarkably well in the recently held university examinations, obtaining 29 ranks in all. It has secured 16 ranks in post-graduation and 13 ranks in degree levels. Dr M Mohan Alva, director of Alvas College has expressed his happiness and congratulated the students and the teachers on the achievement at the recently held press conference in his office. In the press meet, College principal Prof Kuriyan was also present.
Alva’s College has been getting the highest number of ranks consistently for the last four years. From 2004, Alvas College is leading in both sports and cultural fields under university level. From 2009, it has produced many toppers in studies too.
In 2012, College bagged 32 ranks, 21 in 2013 and 29 in 2014. This time in BCA, BHS, M.COM, MHRD, M.SC (Physics), M.SC (Biotechnology), M.A English, B.ED, B.PED College has achieved 100 percent result.
In post-graduation and graduation total 2997 students wrote exams, 551 out of them come under free education programme and 550 have partly received free education.
