Moodbidri: The Alva’s college athletes created new records at the Rajiv Gandhi Health V V Tournament held recently.

In the Girls section, Sujatha A from Alva’s college broke the Fr Muller’s college student Reena Renita’s record set in 2007-08 in 1500m race. Sujatha crossed the goal in 5 minutes 37.1 seconds beating an earlier record of 5 minutes 54.6. In the boy’s section, Mohammad Afif reached the goal in 11 seconds breaking the record of 11.02 seconds earlier set by Anil Kumar Gupta from MNC College Davangere.

In High jump Mohammad Anees from Alvas with 1.87m broke the record of 1.80m set by Raghavendra from same college in 2002-03.
