Moodabidri: Alva’s College won the overall music championship during the Mangalore University inter collegiate competitions held at Dr. V S Acharya Hall in Vidyagiri recently.

Alva’s students won prizes in the following categories:

Classical Music: Manasa – Second
Folk Orchestra – First
Light Instrumental (Indian): Varsha Acharya – First
Western Music (Solo): Charles – First
Western Music (Group)-First
Indian Music (Group)-First
Classical Music (Instrumental): Vignesh Prabhu–First
Solo without instruments: Mayur Naiga–Second.

Students from Fr. Muller’s College, St. Aloysius College, Milagres College, Besant College from Mangalore, Philomena’s College from Puttur, SDM Collge (Ujire), B B Hegde College and NMC College too won prizes in different events.

Prizes were distributed by Alva’s institutional trustee Vivek Alva and College Principal Dr. Kurien during the valedictory function where Alva’s were declared overall champions.
