Mangaluru: The presence of mind of a Manipal-Mangaluru bound service bus driver saved lives of many despite brake failure here on September 13 near Mallikatte.
The bus driver named Dolphy experienced sudden brake failure when he reached near Egg Sunday, near Mallikatte. He not only maneuvered the vehicle tactfully, but also informed many about the precarious condition before carefully getting the vehicle to stop near a compound wall.

While no passengers were injured, a biker named Shivaprasad who came under the wheels of the bus escaped unhurt.
