After Filmfare awards, Tulu film Industry sets eye on Guinness record

Mangaluru: Having bagged the Filmfare awards for two consecutive years, the Tulu film industry is now eyeing to set a Guinness World Record for shooting a film in quickest time.

Ten prominent directors of the Coastalwood film industry have joined hands to complete the filming of a commercial movie in 17 hours and thereby enter the Guinness records as the quickest feature-length film ever made.

Addressing a press meet here on June 23, Tulu film actor Saurabh Bhandary informed that the Tulu film industry was looking to set a new milestone. “Ten prominent directors along with 10 prominent Tulu movie actors will shoot a movie within 17 hours to set a Guinness World Record”, he said.

The film will be produced by the Kadandale Suresh Bhandary of Nageshwara Cine Combines and the story-dialogue and concept will be done by Harish Kotapady, he added.

“The movie will be directed by ace directors-Devdas D Kapikad, Vijay Kumar Kodiyalbail, Prakash Pandeshwar, Mayur Shetty, Ranjith Suvarna, Rajkamal, Rithesh Bangera, Raghu Shetty while popular actors like Arjun Kapikad, Roopesh Shetty, Prithvi Ambar, Asthik Shetty will be seen in lead roles. Tamil actor Rajasimha will play a negative role in the movie”, Bhandary informed
