Mangalore: An official release from the Konkan railway said that the three-day advance booking facility for unreserved tickets, which is already available on the Indian Railway system, is being offered on the Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd network too from September 26.

One can get such tickets at all stations on Konkan network and also at Jansadharan Ticket Booking Seva counters, said an official release.

Passengers can purchase tickets for trains three days in advance, excluding the day of journey, for journeys equal to or more than 200 km. However for journeys within 200 km, tickets have to be bought on the day of journey itself, as per the rules governing unreserved tickets.

If passengers wish to cancel such tickets, they could present tickets for refund up to midnight of the day preceding the day of journey. Refund would be made after deducting clerkage charges, the release said.
