Mangaluru: If you are looking out for a “Fur”ever friend – Gandhi Park at Mannagudda, is the place to be on February 22, where people from the city can adopt Indian puppies and kittens as their pets. The event will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm in the evening.

As always, Animal Care trust has organized the event and is promoting the Go Desi (adopt Indian dogs) concept at the event.. The attempt of the organization is also to eradicate  abandoned animals, emphasize female pet adoption and make sterilization for these pets mandatory.

However, if a person loves animals and is unable to, or does not want to adopt, they could also signup as volunteers, foster, sponsor a pet or make a donation towards the wish list for the animals.

All puppies and cats at the Adopt-a-thon are free of cost; however a nominal amount will be charged towards Vaccination and de – worming of the pets. Those interested may contact Animal Care Trust (Shaktinagar) or Call – 0824 – 6511053.
