Accused in cattle, temple theft cases taken into custody

Moodbidri: On the basis of a body warrant, Moodbidri police took two accused who were involved in separate theft cases into custody here on Wednesday.

Mohammad Muksin(20), from Nekkilady in Uppinangady escaped after his vehicle transporting cattle toppled near Mastikatte. Later he was arrested in arecanut theft case in Bantwal rural station limits. On Wednesday, Moodbidri police inspector Anantha Padmanabha on the basis of body warrant took him into custody for further interrogation. On thursday he would be produced before the court.

Nagaraj(40) from Bhadravathi was put behind bars in connection with robbery case in Kemplaje Durgaparameshwari temple earlier. He too was taken into custody by the Moodbidri police on the basis of a body warrant and will be produced before court.

The accused were involved in Mastikatte cattle theft and robbery in Durgaparameshwari temple few months ago.
