Mangalore: An accident at pumpwell claimed the life of a traffic police man who was traveling on the bike towards work on Wednesday September 17.

The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Bhaskar, who was traveling pillion along with Ashwini Kumar towards Thokkottu, when they collided with a car killing Bhaskar on the spot.

Reportedly their bike crashed into a car that was travelling from Manjeshwar to Pumpwell  on the wrong side at a high speed

Ashwini who suffered injuries has  been admitted to hospital.

The police have arrested the person who was driving the car. His identity is not yet known, however a case has been registered at Kankanady police station.
