Mangaluru: Nine were injured in an accident at Kolnad junction after a gas cylinder laden truck rammed an over-speeding bus and a tempo.

An eye witness informed Newskarnataka.com that the truck in a bid to avoid accident lost control when a private bus moving in the opposite direction, from Karkalla to Mangaluru speedily approached the gas cylinder carrying truck.

The truck later hit the bus and the tempo that was right behind the bus.

In the incident, nine people are injured. Though ambulance arrived later to the spot, the locals gathered and helped the injured people, and admitted them to the hospital.

All the injured were taken to two different private hospitals at Mangaluru.
