
Mangaluru: A team of police attached to the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided upon the houses of a Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) officer and found illegal properties worth crores of rupees on Friday, June 12.
The officer who was under the scanner of ACB police has been identified as Dase Gowda, a special KIADB officer for land acquisition. According to the sources, Dase Gowda was caught red-handed by ACB police while he was receiving a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a person on December 19, 2019. Due to which, officials had planned to launch a raid upon his properties. As there was lockdown owing to Covid-19, the raid had been postponed.
The raid was launched simultaneously upon his houses located at Mandya and Mangaluru on Friday. During the raid, officials found properties worth crores of rupees, sources informed.
This raid was launched by ACB SP Suma Vasanth, DySp Manjunath, and inspector Yogish Naik.
