Mangaluru: The dredger ‘Tridevi Prem’, from which 20 persons were rescued just a day ago, sank at the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) anchorage on Tuesday, September 3 morning.
The vessel, owned by Mumbai’s Mercator Limited, sank after developing a leak.
It can be recalled that the Karnataka Coast Guard and NMPT rescued 13 crew members and seven repair persons from the ‘Tridevi Prem’ early on Monday morning.
ICGS Amartya was the ship that arrived at the location and rescued to distressed crew members.
