Mangaluru: An abandoned car was found on NH 66 near the Nethravathi bridge. Its driver has been missing since late on Wednesday night.
The missing person has been identified as Vikram Gatti (34), a resident of Kolya in Someshwar.
According to sources, the car arrived at the Nethravathi bridge at around 10 pm on Wednesday. The car’s headlights were left on and the doors were also open.
However, Vikram Gatti was nowhere to be seen. Even his mobile phone was switched off.
A missing person complaint has been registered at the Konaje police station by Vikram’s brother, Jeevan Gatti.
As per reports, Vikram was staying with his wife and four-year-old son in Pulinchadi in Konaje.
In the missing person complaint, it is stated that Vikram left his house on Wednesday night saying that he was going to recharge the care battery by running it for some time nearby. His family filed the missing person complaint when they found that his phone was switched off and he had not returned.
