Mangaluru: The Action Group for Elderly (AGE), a dynamic organisation working for the elderly members of the society, will be organising an event to honour their members who have reached the age of 80.

The event will be held in Sahodaya Hall, Balmatta, Mangaluru, on Tuesday, January 30 at 4.45 PM and is open to the public.

The festivities will be kicked off with a prayer followed by a welcome address by the President of AGE, Zahid Hussain.

The Secretary, Rita Rodrigues will introduce the new members and the chief guest. This will be followed by the main event i.e., the honouring of the “80-year-young” members.

Jerardin D’Souza, Founder of Mangalore Alzheimer’s Association, will be the chief guest of the occasion and will present a talk on “Elder Care.”

The event will also feature a lucky draw for all in attendance, celebration of birthdays, presentation of a memento to the chief gues, and any other matter with the permission of the chair.

The vote of thanks will be proposed by Rita Rodrigues.
