Mangaluru: India’s largest radio network 93.5 RED FM has organised the first ever ‘Tulu Film Awards’ function in the city on November 22, 2014, at Nehru Maidan. The event will have top film celebrities from the city who have made their mark in Bollywood and Sandalwood.

The film awards will be conferred in 22 different categories including one ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ and seven special recognition ones. Tulu movies released between 2005 and 2013 will be considered for the awards.

A panel of experts will judge the nominations and select the best performer in each category. In popular categories, public voting will also be given due weightage.

Along with the distribution of awards, the event will feature live power-packed performances by Tulu film celebrities. Teams from Mangaluru who have made a mark on national television will also perform special entertainment acts on stage.
