Mangaluru: Honourary President of the 64th National Amateur Body Building and Fitness Championship Committee – 2016 B Ramanath Rai released the event logo at the DC office on Thursday January 14.

The event will be held under the joint aegis of Dakshina Kannada Amateur Body Builders Association and National Amateur Body Builders Federation at Nehru Maidan on February 12 and 13.

Rai informed that over 250 participants from 29 states are expected in the day-night event which will be held at a cost of Rs 25 lakh.
General Secretary of National Fitness and Body Building Federation Naidu said that there are six categories namely Bharatha Udaya, Bharatha Kumara, Bharatha Kesari, Bharatha Kishore and Bharatha Sri in addition to Mr Fitness especially for models.

The winners will be eligible to take part in international events as well, he informed.

Working President of the Committee and MLC Ivan D’Souza said that there will be 25 stalls related to fitness. The Mangaluru City Corporation has assured financial co-operation for the event, he added.

DC AB Ibrahim, Mayor Jacintha Vijaya Alfred and former Mr World Raymond D’Souza were present among others.
