Mangaluru: Music maestro “Sangeeth Sardhar” Wilson Olivera’s much awaited 50th Musical Nite organised by Alfred Benis Creations, will be held on Sunday, January 28 at St. Agnes Special School Ground, Bendoor here. The event is slated to commence at 6 PM in the evening.

Wilson Olivera, who is well known as “Sangeeth Sardhar”, has composed over 800 songs of his own in Konkani and has seven music albums to his credit. Wilson not only has captured the hearts of Konkani music lovers with his meaningful lyrics but with his melodious voice as well. He has also been bestowed with titles “Konkan Manik” and “Konkani Surdas” and also has been awarded with the prestigious, “Konkani Kala Samaj Puraskar” in 1995, “Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Award” in 2003, “Divo Sahitya Puraskar” in 2008 and Sandesha Award in 2018. Wilson’s endless quench for music has resulted in seven super hit music albums as well as 49 successful shows in places like Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. Wilson Olivera has also composed songs for super hit Konkani movie “Noshibacho Khell.”

The musical evening will be compered by Ronald Olivera, younger brother of Wilson Olivera who has also won the International Toast Masters Awards for four consecutive years. Ronald will be present at the event not only to cheer on his elder brother but also to entertain the audience with his slapstick humour, wit, suave charm and warmth. Apart from being recognised as an international toast master, Ronald has also contributed a great deal to the world of Konkani music by compering for shows of many famous artistes like the legendary Konkan Kogul Late Wilfy Rebimbus, Henry D’Souza, Melwyn Peris, Claud D’Souza, Late Mick Max, Maxim Pereira, Goan Nightingale Lorna and Celebrity Esther Noronha. With his wit and graceful humour, Ronald will be sure to keep the audience entertained.

Wilson Olivera will be ably supported by renowned musician Roshan D’Souza Angelore who will ooze magnificence to this extravaganza, leading as the music director for this show.

Popular singers from the Konkan musical arena namely, Rony Crasta, Robin Sequeira, Pradeep Pinto, Prashanth Pinto, Nihal Tauro, Joseph Mathias, Stuart Olivera, Babitha Pinto, Zeena Pereira, Shilpa Cutinha and Carol Sequeira will accompany the maestro in contributing additional charm to his evergreen rendition of melodious performances. By and far, these very talented artistes have always been strikingly influential in the success of each of Wilson Olivera’s music albums and shows. Along with these singers Kajol Moras, Ashwija Mendonca and Melric Monteiro will also be a part of the singing team. This musical show will also witness the backing vocals from “Off- Pitch” group.

Adding to it, outstanding performances of very prominent dance troupes “Naach Sobhan” led by truly artistic choreographer Avil D’Cruz along with his talented group will treat the audience to a round of truly astounding and breathtaking moves, thus enhancing the magic of the musical evening.

Apart from music and dance, the other moments of delight will be contributed by the ever popular comedy group of “Nellu Permanuur” who are sure to create a riot of laughter among the crowd and keep them entertained all along.
