Kasaragod: Two persons were arrested by Kumble police for illegal transportation of pan masala packets on Sunday, August 14.

Ibrahim Badshah (19) from Koyipadi and Nasser (34) from Mogrel Koppar Bazar are the arrested. The police seized 4,560 packets of pan masala.

The police on credible information raided the bus in which Ibrahim and Nasser were transporting the pan masala packets. The arrested duo revealed that they were transporting the pan masala from Mangaluru to distribute to various shops.

The packets were found packed inside plastic bags.
