Kasargod: Four persons have been arrested by the Kasargod police at Kumble on the charges of conspiring to target the houses of businessmen in the district. The arrested four were the ones who had given the police a slip when their Scorpio vehicle was intercepted recently.
Those arrested are Narayana (25) of Bangalore, Ashraf (28) and Kasim (30) of Belthangady, Samshuddin (35) of Vittal. Police said they are on the lookout for two more including one Ammi who is the prime accused in the case.
It has been reliably learnt that the four had planned to rob businessmen in Uppala and Chattanchal. Earlier, police had seized their Scorpio vehicle and the weapons including iron rods and swords inside it.
Of the arrested, Narayana and Belthangady worked in a quarry while Samshuddin was a quarry owner.
