Mangalore : Three associates of underworld dons Ravi Poojari and Kali Yogish  have been arrested by the CCB police of Mangalore, in an operation  on March 12, Wednesday at Taudugoli in Manjanady village. The arrests followed a tip off. Police have seized a bike, six live bullets, three swords and chilly powder from the trio.

The arrested are Aboobakker Siddique (26) of  Bantwal Balepuni Kadwai, Nitin Kumar (21) of Varnabettu in Karkala and Guruprasanna (22) of Salettur in Kolnad village.

The CCB police who learnt that they were conspiring to loot by standing on the  roadside near Natekal cross, apprehended the  three. Sources said they even used to resort to extortion from businessmen of the two districts by making threatening calls. Investigations are underway to find if the  three had any link   with the recent  shoot-out at Bharathi Developers in Bejai.
