Mangalore: Three persons lost their lives while another  person sustained critical injuries in a head-on collision between an autorickshaw and a lorry near  Suratkal in the outskirts of the city on Monday May 12 morning.

The mishap took place in front of the Suratkal Padre Dhoomavathi Daivasthana. It is said all three passengers died on the spot. The injured has been shifted to a local hospital.

Sources said the lorry hit the autorickshaw while it was coming out of the petrol bunk at Mukka after filling the petrol tank.

A case has been registered in Suratkal police station.
