Kasaragod: With about 250 fake passport cases coming to fore in Kasaragod district, the entire issue may soon be handed over to the Crime Branch by the internal security forces.

As many as 30 cases have already been handed over to the crime branch and the remaining cases too would be handed over soon, say sources.
It is said that Hosadurga and Ambalattar areas in the district have highest numbers of fake passport centres where such passports are made available to people very easily.
The investigating teams have found that individuals who have procured these fake passports have used the passports for anti-national activities, including such as joining terror organisations outside India.
However, though local police and the internal security forces have been saying that local youth have joined terror groups, neither of them have been able to either trace the missing youth or nab them.
Money transfer from Kabul
In another startling revelation, the investigating officers have found that Yasmeen Ahmed (29), the native of Bihar nabbed from Delhi on suspicions of having connections with the ISIS has received funds from Afghanistan through online money transfer. Yasmeen has an account in a bank at Trikkripura. It is said that Yasmeen’s second husband- Abdul Rasheed from Paddana, who is said to be in Afghanistan, has been transferring money, which was being utilised by Yasmeen.
