Bantwal:  Two persons were injured in a head-on collision between a school bus and a tempo trax at a dangerous curve at Chandalike on Vittal-Puttur road on December 7, Saturday.
If the Tempo Trax was heading towards Kabaka from Vittal, the private school bus was heading towards Vittal from Puttur.

The tempo driver Monappa Poojari, a resident of Shantigodu Saarakere in Puttur sustained serious injuries. Locals had to struggle to get him out of the  badly mangled vehicle. Another person named Lokesh who was seated next to Poojari has also sustained injuries. Luckily, students in the school bus escaped unhurt.
