Mangaluru: In yet another tragic accident in the city, a 19-year old engineering student lost his life. The accident took place on the Padil-Maroli road on Wednesday October 14.

The deceased, Vinay R, resident of Jail Road in Kodialbail in the city, was pursuing studies in the second year engineering degree course at Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadavu.

He was riding his new motor bike home after the examination hours from the college on Wednesday, when his vehicle collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction.

The youth is survived by parents and a sister. It is said that Vinay, who usually travelled to college by bus, had taken his new two-wheeler to the college to show it to his classmates on the fateful day.
