Mangalore: Distraught by the repressive behavior of the AAP National Leaders, 17 founding members of the Dakshina Kannada Aam Admi party resigned from their primary membership in the party on Saturday July 19.

Robert Rosario, founder convener, S Nandagopal, founder co-convener, Dharmendra, present convener, Ajay Kumar, founder joint secretary and 13 others resigned from their duties.
Addressing the media, during the press meet, the founder co-convener S Nandagopal announced the resignation and depressingly stated that we do not know who our leaders are today thus we have titled the resignation letter as ‘To whomsoever Concerned’.
S Nandagopal explained that the motto behind joining the party and encouraging it was the anti-corruption movement, transparency and its stand on Swaraj, however the undemocratic manner by which the party has been regulating is disreputable.
He also said that they had complained to the national and state leaders of the party and except for the docket number generated in the grievances website, they received no reply from any of the leaders.
It is also learnt that the district AAP had also written a letter to Kejriwal dated on May 17 after the chaos of the elections had ended. They explained the autocratic ways that the party high command has taken and the reasons why 17 are resigning from the post.
Although concluding his reasoning Nandagopal said that as the citizens of Mangalore city we demand the party leaders to publicize the accounts of the MP elections.
Even though we are not in the party we demand this from a party that is making pompous announcements regarding the transparency, he said.
